so MH finally got his GAMSAT results back yesterday and the town dinner table rejoiced for he did so well and can now hurry up and become a doctor. it was almost like getting senior results back at the end of high school, because the email notification went out to the hoards of anxious over-achievers all over australia telling them the marks were up online, and then - surprise, surprise - the website crashed. get yo’ act together ACER. amateur hour. anyhow, we were sitting in a nepalese restaurant, result-less and excitable, when MH tried one last time to get into the website and it worked. cue: his humble smile, and me whooping like it was me who just made the cut.
now it’s a fun game of university roulette to see who will take his application. [or something.] i think this is kind of what it feels like to have a child who excels in a sport or whatever and you live vicariously through them - imma be basking in the glory.
